Send snippets in chat

Send a saved reply from an open ticket channel with /modmail snippet send. You can preview it first, send anonymously, or use a snippet to replace an earlier staff reply.

You need permission to work in the ticket. If the command reports Ticket not found., move to an open ticket channel first.

1. Run /modmail snippet send.
2. In snippet, type a title and select the matching suggestion, or use its ID.
3. Optional: Set anonymously to hide your identity from the member.
4. Send the command and check the delivered reply.

The reply appears in the ticket channel and the member's DMs. Template variables fill in with that ticket's details when sent. Anonymity applies to this send; it doesn't change the saved snippet.

If the snippet includes a Close button, the member can select it to end the conversation. Sending the snippet alone doesn't close the ticket.

Use /modmail snippet list to browse the library, ten snippets per page. Use page or the navigation buttons to see more.

Use /modmail snippet preview with snippet to check an answer without sending it to the member. Inside an open ticket, the preview fills variables with that ticket's real details and shows the snippet's name and ID.

Replace an earlier replyCopy Anchor Link

Use a snippet edit when an existing staff reply needs the saved wording instead. The action replaces its content in both the channel and the member's DMs without sending another message.

1. Enable Discord's Developer Mode if needed, then right-click the earlier reply and select Copy Message ID.
2. Run /modmail snippet edit.
3. Paste the ID into messageid and choose the replacement snippet.
4. Submit and review the updated reply.

Existing quick buttons stay in place. The replacement removes the earlier message text, including any personal details, so send a follow-up instead if those details still need to remain in the conversation.

Discord limits a delivered reply to 4,096 characters. A longer snippet is shortened with an ellipsis. Reduce its saved content or split the answer into separate replies, preview it, and send the complete information again.
