Welcome to AeroNexus
What AeroNexus is, how it is organized, and what to prepare before you start.
AeroNexus is a hosted Discord bot platform for Roblox (virtual) airline groups and tech communities. Instead of downloading software or managing a server of your own, you sign in, describe your community, and get a bot that runs on our infrastructure around the clock. When we update the platform, your bot picks up the improvements automatically. Learn more.
This page explains how the platform is organized and what to have ready before you create your first group. If you already know what you need, jump straight to Create your group.
How AeroNexus is organized
Everything in AeroNexus starts with two building blocks: your group and your bots.
Your group is the workspace for one community. It records who owns the community, which Discord server it belongs to, and which Roblox group it matches. You manage everything from a web dashboard: after you sign in, you pick the server you want to manage and land inside that group's workspace.
Bots are the Discord applications that do the actual work in your server. Each group runs at least one bot, and larger communities can run several, for example a main community bot plus a dedicated support bot. You create the Discord application once in Discord's Developer Portal, hand its token to AeroNexus during setup, and we host the bot from that point on.
While you can create multiple bots, we currently recommend creating only one due to the current state of the dashboard.
Please note that creating and hosting multiple unnecessary (useless) bots may result in your account being terminated.
Choose your group type
When you create a group, you pick between two types:
- Airline groups focus on flight operations: fleet records, routes, flight logging, and staff workflows (comign soon).
- Tech groups focus on support and automation: moderation, member support, and practical server tooling.
The type shapes which features make sense for your bot, so pick the one that matches your community today. You can build a thriving tech-style community with an airline bot's core features too; the type simply tells the platform what to prioritize.
What your bot can do
Every AeroNexus bot ships with a set of features you can turn on as you need them:
- Modmail includes everything you would reasonally expect from a Modmail bot (like snippets, anonymous replies, multiple categories etc.) and more such as feedback, Panels, Blacklists. Every closed conversation keeps a searchable transcript (so you can search a word across all transcripts).
- Invite Tracker follows who invited whom, scores invites fairly, and powers a leaderboard.
- Text Utils gives trusted staff commands like saying messages through the bot, with an audit trail.
- Welcome Messages greets new members, says goodbye to leavers, and celebrates server boosts in a channel or by direct message.
- SkyGrid (coming soon), available for airline groups, adds virtual-airline operations: airports, fleet aircraft, and flights your members can log.
Each feature has its own section in this documentation, starting with a setup page that walks you through the first steps.
