Troubleshoot your bot
Check the dashboard and fix a bot that isn't responding.
Find the checks below for a bot that's offline, missing from your server, or having trouble with commands.
Your bot is offline
Start by opening your bot in the dashboard. If we detect a problem, such as incomplete setup or an invalid bot token, we'll show a popup explaining what needs attention. Follow its instructions, then check whether your bot reconnects.
Invite a kicked bot back
If someone accidentally kicked the bot, open Servers, select Add to server, and authorize it in Discord. Back in Servers, find it under Unwhitelisted, select Whitelist, and choose its server slot. See Choose your bot's servers for the full steps.
Fix a missing or unresponsive command
Start by reloading Discord, then try the command again:
- Computer: Press Ctrl+R on Windows or Cmd+R on macOS, or quit Discord and open it again.
- Mobile: Open your recent apps or app switcher, swipe Discord away to close it, then launch it again. On Android, you can also open your phone's Settings, find Discord under Apps, and select Force stop before reopening it.
See How to refresh Discord for step-by-step instructions.
If the command still doesn't appear, check that its feature and the command are enabled. Save any changes, wait for deployment to finish, and reload Discord again. See Choose your slash commands.
Some commands require staff access, a ticket channel, or the bot's main server. Check the slash command reference for details.
Try /ping if it's enabled. A response confirms the bot can answer commands;
a missing command alone doesn't mean it's offline.
Still need help? Open Support in the docs navigation, or use
Support server in the /ping response. Include your group and bot names,
the command and server
where it failed, any error message, when it started (with your time zone),
and what you've already tried. Never share your bot token.
Next steps
Once your bot is responding again, review its settings or find the command you need:
- Configure your bot to manage servers, commands, and appearance.
- Explore the slash command reference to find commands and their guides.
