Introduction
Set up automatic greetings, farewells, and boost thank-yous for your Discord servers.
Welcome Messages sends messages when someone joins, leaves, or boosts a linked Discord server. Write your messages in the AeroNexus dashboard, choose where they go, and test them before the next member arrives.
Choose the messages you need
You can save up to three messages for each event. Every matching message sends in the order you arrange; the bot doesn't choose one at random.
| When someone… | What you can send | Channel | DM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Joins your server | A greeting, rules, or useful links | Yes | Yes |
| Leaves your server | A farewell or staff notice | Yes | No |
| Boosts your server | A thank-you or celebration | Yes | Yes |
Yes YesNo No
Each message has its own destination, appearance, and event options. For example, you can send a private welcome and post a short greeting in your welcome channel for the same arrival.
Set up your first message
Start with one message, then check its delivery in Discord.
- Turn on Welcome Messages for your bot.
- Create a join greeting, farewell, or boost thank-you.

If you haven't created your bot yet, start with create your bot.
Personalize and manage your messages
Use placeholders such as {{user.username}} and {{server.name}} to adapt
your text to each member and server. With Invite Tracker enabled, join and
leave messages can also include invite details.
- Template placeholders lists the available values and what appears when information is missing.
- Slots and order explains how to combine, rearrange, and remove messages.
- When messages don't arrive helps you check settings, destinations, and Discord permissions.
