Setup

Post-join logs

Choose a Discord channel for join, leave, and ban notices and fix missing messages.

Send join, leave, and ban notices to one channel in your bot's main Discord server. Discord logs are optional; your saved activity is still available in the dashboard when logs are off.

Choose a log channel

Set up the destination under Invite Tracker > Config:

  1. In Discord logs, turn on Send join, leave, and ban logs.
  2. Under Log channel, choose a text channel in the bot's main server.
  3. Check that the bot can view the channel and send messages there.
  4. Save your changes.

During guided setup, the switch is called Send Discord logs. You must choose a channel before saving logs as enabled. All notices go to that one channel; if you link a different main server, choose the destination again.

Read the notices

Notices have a fixed format with a title and timestamp. Join notices are green; leave and ban notices are red. You can't customize their wording.

EventWhat the notice tells you
Confirmed inviteWho joined, the invite code, and its creator
Vanity linkThe member joined through your server's vanity link
Bot addedA bot account was added
Unconfirmed joinThe invite couldn't be confirmed and nobody was credited
Flagged joinThe join matched the fake-invite policy
Leave or banThe member left or was banned; their invite history remains available

For example, a flagged join includes an extra line:

Member joined
@member joined with SUMMER-3, created by @recruiter
This join matched the fake-invite policy.

A departure doesn't erase the record of who invited the member. You can still review that history in the dashboard.

If notices aren't appearing

Check these items, then watch for a new event:

  • Tracking: Make sure Invite Tracker itself is on.
  • Destination: If the channel was deleted or the main server changed, choose a new Log channel and save.
  • Channel type: Use a text-based channel, not a voice channel or category.
  • Permissions: In Discord, check the bot's ability to view the channel and send messages, including private-channel overrides.

Fixing the channel or its permissions doesn't replay missed notices. Check Activity for saved joins, including joins whose Discord notice didn't appear. Activity that occurred while tracking itself was off isn't recorded.

Next steps

Review activity in the dashboard or adjust the fake-invite rules.
