Choose your counting mode
Compare Standard, Fair, and Advanced scores with a worked example.
Choose a counting mode to decide how departures and fake flags affect your leaderboard. Standard counts each disqualified person once. Fair subtracts departures and fake flags separately. Advanced applies those separate penalties at half strength.
Change your counting mode
New bots use Standard. You can change it during guided setup or later:
- Open your bot's Invite Tracker > Config page.
- Under How invites count, choose Standard, Fair, or Advanced.
- Save your changes.
The new mode recalculates scores from saved activity. It doesn't change who invited someone, remove history, or revisit fake-invite decisions. You can switch back at any time.
Understand the numbers
Every mode uses the same invite records and bonus adjustments. These labels appear in the dashboard and Discord commands.
| Number | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Total invites | Distinct people whose joins were attributed to the inviter, including flagged invites |
| Confirmed | Total invites minus Fake, with a minimum of zero |
| Left | Attributed invitees who left or were banned, including any also flagged as fake |
| Fake | Attributed invitees flagged by your suspicious-invite checks |
| Retained | Invitees who haven't left and aren't flagged as fake |
| Bonus | The sum of positive and negative adjustments added by your team |
| Score | Points calculated using your chosen mode, including Bonus |
Confirmed excludes fake flags; Total invites doesn't. A person can appear in both Left and Fake, which is why the modes can produce different scores from the same activity.
Standard: count each person once
Use Standard for a score that removes at most one point per person who left or was flagged. It's the default mode.
Score = Total invites - Disqualified + Bonus
Disqualified means distinct people who left, were flagged as fake, or both. Someone who left and was flagged is counted once. Before bonus adjustments, this score can't fall below zero.
Fair: apply both penalties
Use Fair when you want departures and fake flags to count separately, even when they describe the same person.
Score = Total invites - Left - Fake + Bonus
A person who both left and was flagged contributes to both deductions. Because those deductions can overlap, the score can fall below zero even without a negative bonus.
Advanced: halve both penalties
Use Advanced when you want the same separate deductions as Fair, with each deduction worth half a point.
Score = Total invites - (Left / 2) - (Fake / 2) + Bonus
Scores can end in halves. Before bonus adjustments, this score can't fall below zero. A flagged invite remains in Total invites and receives the mode's half-point deduction; it isn't included in Confirmed.
Compare the same activity
In this example, Ana has 5 total invites. Two people left, two were flagged, and one person belongs to both groups. That makes 3 distinct disqualified people. Choose a mode below to see the score, then add an example bonus.

STANDARD score
5 - 3 = 2
Three people left, were flagged fake, or both. Each person costs at most one point, so the overlapping person is counted once.
Without a bonus, Ana scores 2 in Standard, 1 in Fair, and 3 in Advanced. A +10 bonus makes those scores 12, 11, and 13. Bonuses always add after the mode's deductions, so they change every score equally.
Choose rules for future joins
Counting mode and suspicious-invite checks do different jobs. The mode changes how saved activity becomes points; the checks decide whether a new join receives a fake flag.
Turning checks off prevents new flags but keeps existing ones. Changing a threshold doesn't clear or add flags on older joins. Read tracking rules and fake policy before adjusting those settings.
