Create your first embed

Create your first embed from Discord Embeds in your group's dashboard. You can preview your layout before publishing anything. Your group needs a Modmail ticket record and you need manage access, as explained in the introduction.

Follow these steps to create a simple announcement preview:

1. Open your group in the AeroNexus dashboard and select Discord Embeds.
2. Select Create embed.
3. Enter an Embed name, such as Community flight announcement, and select Continue. Names must contain 1–100 characters after trimming spaces. Continuing opens a draft; it doesn't publish the embed yet.
4. Expand Container, open the starting Text component, and replace Your message with your announcement. Use the Discord markdown editor to format the content.
5. Optional: Add an Image, Gallery, Section, Separator, or Button row using the component insertion controls. Fill in any new media or button URLs before publishing.
6. Optional: Open Appearance to change the accent color or hide the container as a spoiler.
7. Optional: Open Link settings and enter a Destination website for visitors who open the shared link in a browser.
8. Review the Discord preview. On a narrow screen, switch between Edit and Preview.
9. Select Create in the changes bar. If validation highlights a field, correct it and select Create again.
10. After creation succeeds, select Copy link and paste the link into Discord.

Your first successful creation generates a permanent URL on https://embed.aero.nexus/. Later edits use Save and keep that URL.

The preview updates as you edit, but the public version changes only after a successful Create or Save. A draft doesn't have a shareable link until you create it. If you leave with unsaved changes, the editor prompts you before discarding them.

Treat published content as public. Anyone with the link can open it without dashboard access. The embed name also supplies the title for fallback link previews, so choose a name you're comfortable sharing.
